Superb Late 18th C American Chippendale Reverse Serpentine Large Dense Mahogany Tilt Top Massachusetts Tea Table Attributed To Newburyport Cabinetmaker Joseph Short (1771-1819). This Wonderful 18th Century Tea Table Has A Very Large Reverse Serpentine Square Flat Top Over A Masculine Ring And Baluster Turned Tappering Urn Column Which Supports Three Outswept Notch Carved Ribbed Legs Ending In Slipper Rasied Pad Feet. Full Height. Circa: 1780- 1795 This Superb Tea Table Is In An Outstanding State Of Original Preservation - Original Old Crusty Surface Height 28 1/2" Width: 4 feet 1/2" The Superb Newburport, Massachusetts Cabinetmaker Joseph Short (1771-1819) produced a variety of fine mahogany furniture in his shop on Merrimack Street.
