Superb 19th C Vermont Oil Portrait Painting Of A Handsome Gentleman Attributed To New England Folk Artist: Ashel Powers. (Asahel Lynde Powers 1813-1843) Born In Springfield, Vermont His Early Works Pre-1830 Were Painted On Wood Panels. This Fine Example Is Painted On Board With A Period Gilt Wood Frame. Found In The Cornish, New Hampshire. Excellent Condition Circa: 1835-1855 Excellent Condition Sorry About The Photograph Flash It Is Much Better In Person. He Has A Nice Twinkle In His Eyes.
