Superb 18th C American Chippendale Mahogany Boston Or Salem, Massachusetts Desk With Two Carved Shells, Dense Figured Quality Mahogany With A Reverse Serpentine Slant Front. Boston or North Shore. Circa: 1790. Old Original Surface. Retain Its Original Hardware. Choice Condition. Height 44 1/4", Width 42", Depth 24" Rich Deep Mellow Reddish Brown Nut Patina. In A Superb State Of Original Preservation. **This desk relates to an exact desk which I sold to the permenent collection of the Memphsis Brooks Fine Arts Museum in Memphsis, Tennessee when I was 27 years old and just starting my business Equinox Antiques & Fine Art.
