Superb Early 19th C American Federal Sheraton Mahogany Wing Chair With Dramatic Serpentine Crest At Top And Side Wings With A Serpentine Seat Rail On Frontal Vase And Ring Turned Legs With Square Raking Rear Legs. Old Surface, Old Refinish. Height 47", Seat Height: 19", Width Over Arms: 33" Reference Literature: A Nearly Identical Easy Chair Is Illustrated And Discussed in Portsmouth Furniture: Masterworks from the New Hampshire Seacoast, Brock Jobe, SPNEA, 1993, pp. 373-4, plate 104. Probably Attributed to the Portsmouth, New Hampshire region or Massachusetts. Circa: 1805-1820 Excellent Condition
