Rare & Important 19th C American Shaker Red Stained Pine And Poplar New Lebanon, New York Community Classic Middle Period Free Standing Cupboard. Circa: 1840-1860 The Cupboard Opens To An Interior With Double Shelves Storage Compartment For Easy Of Reach And Placement With Four Graduated Dovetailed Storage Drawers Below Supported On A Blocked Mt. Lebanon Shaker Base. It Bears An Inscription On Bottom Board Of Upper Drawers. This Cabinet And Drawers Was Bought From The Shakers Of New Lebanon, New York By Dr. Calvin Hayes Elliot Of Hartford, Connecticut, About 1928, or 1929, Marie Louise Elliot Hirsch Height 72", Width: 38" Depth: 21 1/4"
