| Superb Pair Of 18th C Louis XVI Carved & Painted Fauteuils En Cabriolet Arm Chairs By Attributed Paris, France Workshop Of Pierre Bernard (1730-1788). Each Arm Chair Which Has Survived In A Superb State Of Preservation Has A Tapered Rectangular Back Within A Leaf-Tip And Bead Carved Frame Above Padded Arms On Spiral Carved Supports Over A Shaped Seat Raised On Stop Fluted Tapering Legs Ending In Toupie Feet. Height: 36" Width: 18 1/2" Depth: 16". **There Are Currently On Display Two Examples Of Armchairs With Related Design Motifs, Carving And Construction From The Workshop Of Pierre Bernard In Paris At The Newly Opened Museum Of Decorative Arts Which Is Directly Beside The Louvre Museum In Paris. The Elegant 18th Century Pair Of Arm Chairs Owned By Equinox Antiques & Fine Art Are Currently Covered With 100% Champagne Silk Musicial Motif Scalamandre Fabric In An Overall Excellent State Of Preservation.
