| This is a fine classic middle period 19th Century American Shaker dark red painted poplar paneled step-back cupboard from Watervliet, N.Y., circa 1840-1860. This lovely cupboard has a documentable Watervliet, N.Y. cornice which flares above the recessed panel doors which open to a four shelved interior above similar doors which opens to two shelves on a cutout base with two doors below with shelves.
