This is a very fine pair of early 19th century American Folk Art Portrait Miniature oil paintings on ivory of a handsome young man and his stylish wife with bonnet have great artistic character and detail. These quality folk art paintings were executed with forward brightness and are in a superb state of historic preservation. Circa: 1830-1845. Each portrait miniature has survived in an excellent state of preservation without damage, repair, or artistic replacement. The square 19th century decorative frames are attributed to be later replacements.
